Support Appian’s visual presence and global brand across campaigns, events, digital experiences, and executive storytelling—translating complex technology and business objectives into compelling, brand-aligned creative experiences.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Creative Design team at Appian is the visual custodian of our brand identity, partnering with stakeholders globally to deliver impactful creative solutions across campaigns, events, digital experiences, customer storytelling, executive storytelling, and global marketing initiatives. By translating complex technical achievements into striking, human-centric design, this team plays a pivotal role in enabling Appian’s expansion in the AI-Powered Process Automation marketplace. We build high-impact visual touchpoints that introduce global enterprises to our Enterprise-Grade Orchestration platform.

THE OPPORTUNITY

You will support marketing and business initiatives while contributing to Appian’s global brand and creative programs. You will execute design across brand activations, events, campaigns, presentations, and digital experiences, partnering with Creative leadership and cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life. You’ll contribute to how Appian shows up in the market, bringing strong creative thinking and execution to high-visibility global initiatives while ensuring our work remains consistent, compelling, and distinctly Appian.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design and execute polished, production-ready creative across multi-channel campaigns, including digital, print, presentations, experiential activations, and other marketing initiatives.
• Create event and experiential design for conferences, customer engagements, field events, and other brand experiences across physical and digital environments.
• Develop compelling executive storytelling materials and presentations that translate complex technology and business concepts into clear, engaging visual narratives.
• Apply and extend Appian’s global brand system across diverse formats and touchpoints, maintaining consistency while identifying thoughtful opportunities to evolve the visual expression.
• Partner with Creative leadership, Marketing, Product Marketing, Events, and other stakeholders to translate business objectives and creative briefs into effective visual solutions.
• Collaborate with external creative agencies and production vendors to extend creative concepts and ensure consistent, high-quality execution.
• Prepare production-ready files and manage design specifications to ensure high-quality execution across vendors, platforms, and media channels.
  
  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Fine Arts, Marketing, or a directly related creative discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in graphic design, brand design, or visual communication within an agency, in-house creative team, or related environment.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, with proficiency in Figma, PowerPoint, and Google Slides.
• Demonstrated command of typography, layout, composition, color, visual hierarchy, and brand systems, with the ability to thoughtfully apply and extend established brand identities across channels.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and production skills, with experience working across stakeholders and vendors and preparing production-ready creative for digital, print, presentation, event, and experiential applications.
• Written and spoken fluency in English.
• A robust professional portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design execution for corporate events, print mediums, interactive digital ecosystems, and complex brand identity systems.
  
  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience executing brand design inside a complex B2B, enterprise software, SaaS, or high-growth technology environment.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Google Slides, with experience across design and production workflow, alongside a baseline understanding of motion graphics or video animation principles.
• Experience collaborating with distributed teams, agencies, or stakeholders across regions is a plus.
• Experience or interest in using AI-enabled creative tools to support concept development, streamline workflows, and improve creative efficiency.
• We value experience with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce or ServiceNow, as these skills translate well into our Enterprise-Grade Orchestration environment.
