Summary/Overview:
KBRA Europe is seeking a Director – Global Human Resources Operations to lead the development and ongoing management of HR operational infrastructure across KBRA’s growing international footprint, currently spanning the United Kingdom, Ireland, Japan and Australia with responsibility expanding as KBRA enters new markets.
This role will own international benefits and establish scalable, compliant HR processes across the employee lifecycle. The Director will serve as a key connection point across HR, Payroll, HR Technology, Legal, Finance, and international service providers, translating country-specific requirements into sustainable KBRA practices and supporting geographic expansion and M&A integration.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead HR Operations across the international jurisdictions, establishing scalable processes for onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, leaves, payroll and benefit administration, and other key employee lifecycle events.
- Develop country-specific operating frameworks that define requirements, timelines, ownership, controls, and escalation points across KBRA and external providers.
- Own international benefits strategy and administration, including annual renewals, plan evaluation and implementation, vendor management, employee communications, and ongoing program oversight across the UK, Ireland, Japan, Australia and future markets.
- Partner with local brokers, advisors, and providers to evaluate market practices and implement competitive and compliant benefit programs as KBRA enters or expands within international markets
- Partner closely with Payroll to build the processes and infrastructure necessary for accurate and compliant international payroll administration, while Payroll retains ownership of payroll processing, auditing, reconciliation, and controls.
- Manage international HR, payroll, benefits and advisory provider relationships; evaluate service delivery and evolving business requirements, identify gaps, drive accountability and process improvement, and support vendor selection, implementation and renewals as appropriate.
- Monitor evolving HR and employment requirements across supported jurisdictions and partner with Legal and external advisors to assess requirements and translate them into practical HR policies, processes and controls.
- Lead international HR operations data quality and audit efforts, establishing standards, reviewing results and coordinating remediation across HR Operations, Payroll, HR Technology and external providers.
- Manage HR operational readiness for new jurisdictions and support M&A integration, including benefits, payroll, employee data, HR systems, vendor transitions, and employment processes.
- Partner cross-functionally on risk and change, representing HR Operations with Finance, Legal, Compliance, IT, Talent Acquisition, and HRBPs on audits, regulatory changes, and organizational initiatives.
- Partner closely with HR Technology to design, implement and continuously improve international HR processes and system functionality, translating country-specific requirements into scalable workflows and supporting testing and implementation of new capabilities.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience with significant experience in international HR Operations, benefits, and multi-jurisdictional environments
- Broad working knowledge of international benefits, payroll operations, employment practices, compliance, and employee lifecycle processes, with UK/European and/or APAC experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing international benefit programs, including renewals, vendor/broker relationships, plan implementation, and ongoing administration.
- Proven track record leading complex HR operations initiatives or projects end to end (requirements, process design, coordination with systems/IT, stabilization, and optimization)
- Experience with global expansion, M&A/integration, or complex international HR projects strongly preferred.
- Problem-solver mindset with the ability to frame an issue, create a plan of action, build consensus, communicate status and drive results through project management and analysis.
- Strong operational judgment, project management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to create structure in evolving or ambiguous environments.
- Detail-oriented, with a high sense of urgency and low ego. Successful candidate isn’t afraid to ask questions, is well-organized, possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy across multiple jurisdictions and time zones, identify emerging needs and risks, and determine when specialized internal or external expertise is required.
- Familiarity with Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and general productivity is a plus.
