Full Stack Developer

The Role

As an Intermediate Full Stack Developer at Knak, you’ll build and maintain the systems that turn Knak content into email and landing page HTML. This is a full stack role spanning the builder interface, shared content model and rendering pipeline, and the back-end services that handle platform-specific exports.

You’ll work closely with Engineering teammates, Product Managers, Designers, QA, and DevOps to deliver reliable, well-tested features that meet user and business goals. You’ll make implementation-level design decisions within your area, contribute to architectural discussions, and help improve the quality and maintainability of the systems you work on.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Build intuitive, responsive builder interfaces using Vue 3 and TypeScript, collaborating with designers and product managers to deliver experiences that meet design and functional requirements.

• Implement and maintain the shared TypeScript content model and rendering logic that transforms content into email and landing page HTML.

• Contribute to the evolution of Knak’s content architecture and rendering pipeline, working with the Content Team to keep behaviour consistent across platforms.

• Help maintain the tooling, scaffolding, documented patterns, and guardrails that allow developers and AI agents to extend Knak’s content architecture consistently.

• Support platform-specific exports by contributing to the Laravel transformer pipeline and following established implementation and testing patterns.

• Investigate and resolve rendering, performance, and correctness issues using profiling, logging, and observability tools, escalating cross-system issues when appropriate.

• Apply the right mix of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to changes within a core, high-impact area of the product.

• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, uphold coding standards, pair with teammates, and share knowledge across the team.

• Work with Product and QA to clarify requirements, break features into well-scoped tasks, and identify edge cases, dependencies, and risks early.

• Make implementation-level design decisions independently within your area and contribute to team-wide architectural discussions and planning.

• Improve the quality and maintainability of the areas you work in through code reviews and incremental refactoring.

Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of software development experience, including hands-on experience with TypeScript and a modern JavaScript framework; Vue is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to write clean, modular, testable code with a focus on long-term maintainability.

• Experience with testing and development tooling such as Playwright, Jest, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience working with observability, monitoring, and performance considerations.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

• Comfortable giving and receiving constructive code review feedback.

Base Salary: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000–$125,000/year. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. This range reflects base salary only and does not include other forms of compensation that may be available as part of the total rewards package.
