Data Analytics Senior Associate

What You Will Do and Learn

As a Senior Associate in data Solutions, you’ll be responsible for pre-sales, estimation, scoping, designing, implementing, and testing proposed modern analytic solutions.  Working closely with our client partners, you’ll develop relationships with key technical resources while delivering tangible business outcomes. 

Ideal candidates will be able to:

• Ability to manage projects and teams against planned work.
• Responsible for managing the day-to-day client relationship on projects.
• Manage the Data Engineering lifecycle including research, proof of concepts, architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement technology that aligns with client business objectives.
• Build proof of concepts for a modern analytics stack supporting a variety of cloud-based business systems for potential clients.
• Team management experience and ability to manage, mentor, and develop talent of assigned junior resources.
• Create actionable recommendations based on identified platform, structural and/or logic problems.
• Communicate and demonstrate a clear understanding of client business needs, goals, and objectives.
• Collaborate with other architects on solution designs and recommendations.
• Assess client data environments and recommend scalable analytics and data engineering solutions.
• Design and implement business-ready data models and business logic using modern analytics engineering practices.
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions for clients and internal teams.
• Participate in solution scoping, effort estimation, and pre-sales discussions where required.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience developing industry-leading business intelligence and analytics solutions.
• Must have thorough knowledge of data warehouse concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Must have experience writing advanced SQL.
• Must have at least 2+ years of hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool). 
• Most recent hands-on experience with DBT is mandatory.
• Must have experience working with DBT on one or more modern cloud databases such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks, or similar platforms.
• Must have experience setting up and managing DBT projects.
• Must have experience understanding, creating, modifying, and optimizing YML files within DBT.
• Must have hands-on experience in Analytics Engineering using DBT, including designing and developing business-ready data models and implementing business logic from raw data.
• Knowledge of BI and analytics tools such as Sigma, Looker, Omni, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Experience building reporting and analytical solutions using modern BI tools is preferred, with Sigma Computing experience considered an advantage.
• Experience working with modern data integration and ELT tools such as Fivetran, Workato, or Boomi would be an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake would carry higher weightage.
• Snowflake SnowPro Core certification would carry higher weightage.
• Experience working in AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar cloud data platforms would be an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience with Azure would carry higher weightage.
