The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) assesses surgical applications on the Council’s behalf. Depending on the outcome, registration is typically granted in the provisional vocational scope, with a period of supervised practice. We guide you through the process.

- Work across Nelson Hospital and other Nelson Marlborough sites in consultation with you, if required
- Take part in your own continuing professional development, annual performance appraisal and peer review
Essential Criteria to Apply
- Completion of specialist training in vascular surgery, such as a UK CCT, or eligibility for vocational registration in vascular surgery with the Medical Council of New Zealand

- Ability to be credentialed by the hospital before commencing
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to high-quality, culturally safe patient care
