Analyst, Business Operations

What You'll Do

Strive Health is seeking a highly analytical, curious, and adaptable Finance Operations Analyst. This is a high-visibility generalist role for someone who enjoys learning quickly, solving ambiguous problems, and turning data and research into clear recommendations. You will work directly with the CFO across strategic priorities, special projects, financial analysis, market intelligence, and executive decision support. The role will require equal parts analytical rigor, judgment, and follow-through. This is an opportunity to develop a broad view of healthcare, strategy, finance, and company operations while working closely with senior leaders. 

The Day to Day 

• Support high-priority strategic and operational projects from initial question through recommendation and execution. 
• Conduct macroeconomic, healthcare, policy, and industry research; synthesize findings into concise executive-ready summaries. 
• Create a market map or competitive intelligence tracker to track competitors, public-company disclosures, market developments, business models, and relevant industry trends. 
• Listen to and summarize investor conference calls, earnings presentations, investor days, and other public-company materials to produce a concise readout of themes, risks, and relevant strategic implications. 
• Perform Wall Street and public-company valuation work, including comparable-company analysis, trading metrics, financial statement review, and basic valuation models. Summarize changes in valuation, growth, margins, or investor sentiment. 
• Build and maintain analytical models, dashboards, and reports using Excel and other appropriate tools.  
• Translate complex or unstructured executive questions into a structured workplan, analysis, and recommendation, communicating the implications clearly. 
• Prepare briefing materials, decision memos, meeting prep, presentations, and follow-up action plans for the CFO and executive leadership. 
• Help improve processes, data quality, documentation, and operating cadence within the CFO’s office. 
• Coordinate with Finance, Strategy, Operations, Clinical, Technology, and other cross-functional teams to gather information and move work forward. 
• Take ownership of time-sensitive, ambiguous, or one-off assignments and close the loop without requiring extensive direction. 
• Meet in person with internal and/or external stakeholders to facilitate team and business priorities/opportunities. Business travel may be required for opportunities to connect with stakeholders, serve patients, and attend Strive-sponsored team events. 

Minimum Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
• 1+ years’ experience using Excel for data analysis and comfort learning financial models, valuation concepts, and public-market data. 
• 1+ years’ experience with SQL, Python, or other analytical tools; the ability to work with data is important, but advanced programming is not required. 
• Internet Connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down): Latency <60 ms.
• Ability to travel and be onsite to meet business needs. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous questions and reach practical conclusions. 
• Demonstrated interest in financial markets, company strategy, healthcare, technology, or business analysis. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill research into a clear executive point of view. 
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard for accuracy, documentation, and follow-through. 
• Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and translate between business needs and analytical or technical work. 
• Self-directed, dependable, and comfortable changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
• High level of discretion and sound judgment when working with confidential company and financial information. 

About You

• You can move comfortably from a detailed spreadsheet or dataset to a one-page executive summary. 
• You communicate early, make progress visible, and raise issues with a proposed path forward. 
• You are comfortable being a generalist and are energized by work that does not fit neatly into one function. 
• You balance speed with rigor and know when an analysis is “good enough” for a decision versus when it requires deeper investigation. 
• You take ownership of the outcome, not just the assigned task. 

Annual Salary Range: $70,000 - $83,000. This position is also eligible for a target annual bonus of 5%
