The role  

Please note, we are only accepting applicants from the provinces of Ontario and Québec for this role. For Québec-based candidates, fluency in English is necessary because the position entails collaboration with teams based in the rest of Americas and occasionally in Europe.

Valtech is transforming its workforce to deliver as an Experience-Led, AI-Native consultancy. This role owns that transformation from a training and enablement standpoint: building the strategy, curriculum, and delivery mechanisms that take practitioners from AI-native awareness to AI-native fluency, and measuring whether it's actually working. 

The role sits inside the AI Transformation Office and will partner with AI Transformation leaders at Valtech as a thought multiplier. It is a build-from-scratch function. There is no existing playbook to inherit, so the mandate includes defining what "AI-native fluency" means and how the organization measures progress toward it.

Role responsibilities

Training Strategy & Curriculum 

• Create the training strategy for transforming the workforce to be Experience-Led, AI-Native. 
• Create and evolve training content for Experience Led, AI-Native SDLC. 
• Design training across multiple modalities — self-service, classroom-style, and guided — matched to audience and use case. 
• Create hands-on projects for people to learn from, sourced from live proof points (e.g., FDEE pod engagements) so training reflects what's actually working in the field, not just theory. 
• Define internal proficiency levels for AI-Native SDLC skills, distinct from external certifications, so bench and delivery readiness can be assessed directly. 

Delivery & Enablement 

• Run trainings on AI-Native SDLC for practitioners. 
• Equip new teams who are starting on AI-native engagements. 
• Coordinate the AI Transformation Office's champion/practitioner network as force multipliers for training delivery, rather than delivering all training personally. 
• Align training strategy with bench and new hires. 
• Own onboarding curriculum for new hires and bench redeployments into AI-native engagements, tied to reducing time-to-productivity. 

Content & Hub Maintenance 

• Own the ongoing maintenance of the Experience-Led, AI-Native hub material. 
• Run a feedback loop from delivery back into curriculum, revising content on a regular cadence based on what's landing or failing in real engagements. 

Comms, Metrics & Accountability 

• Partner with communications teams to drive employee awareness of AI Transformation initiatives. 
• Translate training milestones, cert progress, and adoption wins into internal facing updates. 
• Highlight practitioner and team success stories from AI Native engagements to reinforce adoption and celebrate proof points.  
• Keep messaging on AI Native transformation consistent across the region and across practices, coordinating with global counterparts as needed. 
• Own training metrics across the organization to drive transformation. 
• Align training cadence and content with the AI Native Certification Challenge (Google, Gemini Enterprise, Microsoft, Anthropic, Databricks) so certification prep and SDLC training run as one system. 
• Own reporting on certification attainment against performance-management requirements. 

Key performance indicators (KPIs)

• Certification attainment rate across the practice, tied to certification program targets. 
• Time-to-productivity for new hires and bench redeployments into AI-native work. 
• Training completion and adoption rate across delivery teams. 

Must have qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: 

• Fluent in AI-native ways of working. 
• Familiarity with SDLC and how to transform it with AI. 
• Hands-on AI-Native fluency, including Spec-Driven Development, building agents and skills, and designing workflows that reduce time to deliver. 
• Experience designing training or curriculum at scale — instructional design skill, not just subject matter expertise. 
• Familiarity with partner certification programs (Google, Microsoft, Anthropic, Databricks); holding one or more certifications is a strong signal. 
• Experience measuring training effectiveness and tying learning metrics to business outcomes, not just completion rates. 
• Facilitation skills for live cohort delivery. 
• Comfort building a function from scratch, given this role has no established playbook to inherit. Understanding the forward deployed engineering (FDE) model. 

Nice to have qualifications  

• Proven track record of leading AI transformation 
• One AI Native Certification (Anthropic, Google)

This is a fixed-term position based in Montreal/Toronto.
