Your mission Conceptualization & Expansion of Energy Market Solutions: Development and operational establishment of scalable models for balancing group management (BKM), direct marketing, and flexibility optimization for our C&I and enterprise customers with multi-site portfolios Tech & Market interface: Close collaboration with our software and product teams to further develop our virtual power plant (Heartbeat AI Enterprise) – defining functional requirements for aggregation, dynamic flexibility bands, and schedule setpoints Partner & Trading Management: Selection, integration, and ongoing management of external BKM and trading partners (e.g., algorithmic intraday trading companies, aggregators, transmission system operators) Multi-Use Operating Models: Design of prioritization and operational logic for commercial battery storage systems (e.g., balancing UPS/backup priority, grid-charge-optimized peak shaving, and spot market arbitrage) Risk & Schedule Management: Monitoring forecasting quality, balancing energy costs (reBAP), and schedule notifications to minimize financial risks in the balancing group Regulatory Framing: Ensuring and implementing relevant energy industry regulations (e.g., mixed storage guidelines / MiSpeL, MaBiS, Redispatch 2.0) in customer contracts and system workflows Sales Support: Support during enterprise customer pitches, creation of economic models, and design of revenue-sharing concepts (profit-split) Your profile Completed degree in energy economics, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, business administration, or a comparable qualification Several years of professional experience in balancing group management (BKM), at a direct marketer, flexibility aggregator (VPP), or in short-term power trading (EPEX SPOT Day-Ahead / Intraday) Sound understanding of the deployment and monetization of large-scale and commercial battery energy storage systems (BESS) as well as PV systems in the C&I segment Solid knowledge of the German regulatory framework (StromNEV, EnWG, MaBiS, MiSpeL) and market communication processes High affinity for software, IoT architectures, and API-driven data flows between edge gateways, VPP platforms, and trading systems Strong analytical mindset, entrepreneurial drive, and structured problem-solving skills Persuasive communicator at eye level with enterprise customers and enjoyment of interdisciplinary teamwork Business fluent in German and English, both spoken and written Benefits You are part of an international, dynamic, and highly motivated team of people who have proven to make things happen With your work, you accelerate the "energy transition" and hence have a direct impact on our climate Work with and learn from other super-smart colleagues You will enjoy direct contact with core decision-makers You will enjoy the best chances of entering full-time in one of Europe’s most thriving scaleups You work remotely (Germany-wide), with offices in Hamburg, Berlin or Munich Create a healthy balance alongside your work and enjoy all the benefits of the EGYM Wellpass Benefits and discounts are yours with Futurebens Whether city bike or e-bike - be flexible with our job bike leasing and do something good for the environment at the same time Find more English Speaking Jobs in Germany on Arbeitnow
