Your creative field We are looking for a full-time, permanent Data Center Technician (all genders) to join our new data center in Lauterbourg as soon as possible . Our customers all around the world rely on Contabo's infrastructure. With our support they run their businesses and store their data. What they never see is what makes it all possible: the humming servers, the precisely cooled halls and our power systems that never sleep. That's your world. As a Data Center Technician at our Lauterbourg site, you are the person who makes sure the lights stay on. You know your facility better than anyone: every cable tray, every cooling unit, every alarm. You monitor and maintain our complete infrastructure: electrical systems from MV/LV distribution to grounding, UPS systems kept tested and ready and HVAC/cooling systems that keep everything running at optimal temperature and efficiency. You work hands-on with our Building Management System, catch issues before they become incidents and when something does go wrong, you're the one who keeps calm, diagnoses fast and gets things back on track. Beyond day-to-day operations, you'll plan and execute preventive maintenance, coordinate with external subcontractors and continuously push to make our processes sharper and more reliable. Over time, you'll take the lead on maintenance activities, develop predictive approaches and eventually help shape the infrastructure strategy itself. Also it’s important that you have fun to pass your knowledge on to our technicians in the team. To be honest: there's never been a more exciting time to join us. We're not just maintaining a data center; we're still in the process building one hall. A brand-new HPC facility is taking shape on site and you'll be part of that from The Ground up. Your fingerprints will be on the infrastructure that powers Contabo's next chapter. What convinces us Your personality, paired with: 3+ years of hands-on experience in facilities, HVAC or electrical maintenance Knowledge of HVAC and cooling systems - this is your core strength Familiarity with electrical systems (MV/LV), UPS and BMS platforms Valid electrical safety or HVAC certification (or equivalent) Safety-first mindset: you follow protocols and set the standard for others Cool under pressure, reliable and comfortable with on-call rotations Strong communicator who works well in a team and with external contractors Good English skills; German and/or French are a plus Data center or industrial facility background is also a plus Technical diploma or vocational training in electrical engineering, HVAC or facility management is a helpful add on We know that you may not currently meet all the requirements.
