Vendor Manager, Books, Amazon Books

The Books team is looking for an innovative, results-oriented, Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or above - 3+ years of work experience - 1+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience - Experience in written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive) Preferred: - Take the lead to identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage strategic partnership deals that delight customers and support strategic objectives - Serve as a key member of the Content Acquisition team in defining and delivering the strategy around content acquisition, new business models, promotional programs, and growing readership around the world - Develop business and product requirements, prioritize needs, and manage milestones with input from key stakeholders - Establish and execute against selection, operational, and business metrics - Deliver results by working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. product management, legal, marketing, and other Content Acquisition teams around the world) - Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management of Amazon and publishers - Identify opportunities for innovation and automation - Leverage data analysis to research difficult or ambiguous problems, leading cross-disciplinary teams to drive recommendations to senior leadership - Develop and execute against P&L while understanding business trends that impact the bottom line Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
