VAT Senior Manager, Digital and Devices Tax

Amazon is looking for an Indirect Tax Senior Manager to lead indirect tax support for our digital and devices businesses, including Alexa, Twitch, Amazon Music and Amazon Leo. You will be the tax partner Basic qualifications: - 10+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Experience advisory experience in a large accounting/consultancy practice, law firm, tax authority or business in-house. - Experience in international indirect tax planning and strong understanding of or practical experience with tax laws in other countries - Experience liaising with tax authorities including responding to audits and information requests - Experience analyzing and reviewing statutes, regulations, and case law and then extracting data to make appropriate recommendations Preferred: - Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partner well with people at all levels within an organization, including coaching of junior staff - professional tax, accounting or legal qualification (e.g., Chartered Accountant (CA), Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) or similar), or J.D. - Experience with indirect tax in a technology, e-commerce, media or telecommunications business - Experience advising on the indirect tax treatment of digital services, subscriptions, software or consumer devices - Experience writing tax requirements for systems and working with technology teams through user acceptance and production testing - Experience with e-invoicing, digital reporting obligations or tax engine implementations - Experience with ASC 450 reserve assessment and disclosure for indirect taxes Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
