Theatrical PR Specialist, MGM Theatrical

Amazon MGM Studios brings together the world's best filmmakers with the most Basic qualifications: - 5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience - Bachelor's degree - Can show strong verbal and written communication skills - Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint) - Proven track record of securing high-impact earned media placements across all editorial platforms - Demonstrated ability to develop and execute national PR campaigns from strategy through execution - Strong existing relationships with entertainment journalists, critics, editors, and producers - Experience coordinating press junkets, press days, talent interviews, and premiere events - Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns and stakeholders - Experience working directly with talent representatives (publicists, agents, managers) - Strong organizational and project management skills Preferred: - 5+ years of theatrical publicity experience at a major studio, entertainment company, or leading PR agency - Demonstrated ability to conceive and execute innovative, culture-breaking earned media moments - Established relationships with editorial voices across emerging media platforms — not just legacy press - Experience developing campaign strategies and presentations to filmmakers and senior stakeholders - Understanding of the awards campaign landscape and experience supporting awards publicity - Working knowledge of social media dynamics, content creator ecosystems - Experience managing or coordinating with PR agencies and external vendors - Budget management experience including invoice processing, PO tracking, and spend reconciliation - Familiarity with AI tools for media research, campaign measurement, and workflow optimization - Genuine love of all film genres and pop culture — with an ability to articulate what's culturally resonant and why Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
