Test Process Engineer, Amazon Leo

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the Basic qualifications: - Experience with test plan development, building the necessary test bench infrastructure, developing tests and verifying the design - Experience with programming languages like Python, JavaScript, Go, .Net, Java or equivalent - 2+ years of professional experience in manufacturing test, test process engineering, or automated test equipment (ATE) - Experience analyzing data to support technical decisions and process improvements - Experience with embedded system test rack configuration, integration, and optimization Preferred: - Knowledge of fundamentals of networking, security, databases (relational or NoSQL), operating systems (Unix, Linux, and/or Windows) - Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma - Experience in auditing, risk management, compliance, program management, or quality management systems - Experience building test automation frameworks and tools - Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, evaluate alternatives and develop processes and tools as needed to support the organization - Experience with general troubleshooting/debugging of hardware, or experience debugging, profiling, and implementing best software engineering practices in large-scale systems - Experience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawings, or experience leading technical teams through daily operations and maintenance evolutions - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience - Experience participating in or leading technical collaborations and creating alignment across diverse groups (e.g., hardware engineering, software engineering, program management) - Experience in hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems - Familiarity with IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies) or other PCBA manufacturing and test standards - Familiarity with aerospace PCB and electronics standards such as AS9100 (Aerospace Quality Management Systems) - Experience with National Instruments (NI) TestStand test management software, including sequence configuration, debugging, and deployment in a manufacturing test environment - Experience supporting contract manufacturer (CM) engagements, including participation in process reviews, yield discussions, and standardization efforts Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
