Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and Basic qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience - 2+ years of professional experience leading a team - 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical or electrical hardware assembly, test, and/or installation Preferred: - Experience hiring, training and leading production teams. - Experience implementing lean/six sigma principles in a production environment. - Experience helping develop enterprise manufacturing systems and assembly lines. - Experience in the aerospace industry, automotive industry, medical device industry, aviation, military or other high-reliability operating environment. - Experience in an ambiguous, fast-paced production environment. - Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements. - Skill in operating and manipulating machinery and various hand and power tools requiring manual dexterity. - A demonstrated ability in reading/writing/creating/understanding technical drawings, work instructions, test plans and standard operating procedures - Detailed knowledge of electrical, optical and mechanical systems, antennas, functional testing and satellite components - Ability to adapt while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment - Strong understanding of supply chain management in aerospace/satellite industry - Proven ability to influence and drive technical decisions at senior leadership levels Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
