Sr Software Dev Engineer III, RDS for Oracle

Amazon Web Services is hiring a Software Development Engineer III for the RDS for Oracle team. We are looking for an experienced engineer to design and build the next generation of managed database services Basic qualifications: - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience - 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team - Experience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences - You have deep expertise in at least one of the following: database systems, distributed systems, storage architecture, or systems programming Preferred: - 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - Experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings - Experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, or process improvement roles - You have experience with relational databases, particularly Oracle. - You have worked on cloud infrastructure or managed services. - You have contributed to open-source projects. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
