Sr. Construction Manager, GES NA, Design and Construction

As a Sr. Construction Manager within Global Engineering Services (GES) North America (NA) Design & Construction (D&C), you are Amazon's senior owner's representative responsible for the autonomous end-to-end Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field - 7+ years of experience as an Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, or in a related construction discipline - 7+ years of project management experience spanning design phase through construction completion and operational handover - 7+ years of experience negotiating construction, procurement, and/or labor contracts - 7+ years of proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM), and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar) - Position includes travel up to 60% (Nationwide). Travel involves air travel to regional airports and driving to site locations. A valid driver's license is required due to project assignments in areas with limited public transportation and rideshare options. Preferred: - Experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions, or experience communicating results to senior leadership - Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification - Experience managing complex, large-scale construction projects ($100M+) end-to-end with full budget and design ownership - Experience across multiple disciplines within the construction industry (e.g., General Contracting, Owner's Representation, Commercial Development, Engineering & Design) - Demonstrated success leading contract negotiations and managing external partner performance across concurrent projects - Experience developing and implementing construction processes, playbooks, or best practice frameworks - Experience mentoring and developing junior construction professionals - CMIT/CMAA or PMP certification or equivalent Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
