Space Systems Modeling and Analysis Engineer

We are seeking a Space Systems Modeling and Analysis Engineer to develop and deploy high-fidelity computational models of multi-orbit space architectures supporting satellite communications (SATCOM), navigation Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline - 3+ years of experience developing physics-based models and simulations of space systems (orbital mechanics, constellation design, RF link analysis, or sensor coverage) - Experience modeling systems across multiple orbital regimes (LEO, MEO, GEO) - Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or C++ for numerical modeling and data analysis - Demonstrated experience with parallelizable or high-performance computing approaches for large-scale simulations - U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance Preferred: - Master's or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Astrodynamics, Applied Physics, or related field - Familiarity with SATCOM network modeling, including link budgets, spectrum management, and mesh network topologies - Familiarity with resilient constellation design principles including proliferated architectures, self-healing networks, and degradation analysis - Knowledge of space domain awareness, conjunction assessment and mitigation - Experience with Alt-PNT framework modeling and timing budget analysis - Experience with ground-based and space-based threat characterization (counter-space systems, maneuverable satellites) - Experience modeling missile warning/tracking sensor architectures, including multi-phenomenology detection and infrared sensor performance - Experience with moving target indication (MTI) or kill-chain closure modeling - Proficiency with simulation frameworks such as STK, GMAT, or custom Monte Carlo engines - Experience with parallel computing libraries Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
