The Data Center Builder Tools team is looking for an innovative, self-directed Software Development Manager to lead the effort in building the Data Center Industrial Controls Run-times team. You will build Basic qualifications: - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations - Experience in engineering team management - Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems Preferred: - Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy - Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers - Travel up to 20% of the time - Experience with general troubleshooting/debugging of hardware, or experience in computer architecture - Experience with hardware/software integration and real-time systems - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
