Software Development Manager, GO-AI Technology & Development Team

Our fulfillment centers handle among the highest item volumes in the world, combining Basic qualifications: - 3+ years of engineering team management experience - 7+ years of engineering experience - 4+ years of providing technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle experience - 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience partnering with product or program management teams - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field - 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier software services experience - Experience implementing engineering practices and patterns for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and certification Preferred: - 5+ years of hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing teams of software engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective - 10+ years of planning, designing, developing, and delivering software experience - Experience managing teams who build infrastructure for LLM/VLM training and inference at scale - Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects, and development teams in an Agile environment - Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences - Master’s degree in a related Technical or Business field Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
