Senior Technical Account Manager, Amazon Smart Vehicles

Do you want to be the technical authority helping Japan's leading automakers build the future of Basic qualifications: - Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese - 6+ years of solving problems with technology in the Automotive & Manufacturing industries experience - Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc. - Experience in technical support, or experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities - Experience conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences - • 10+ years of experience in the automotive industry with focus on infotainment systems, embedded software, voice/AI integration, or technical solutions architecture - • Track record of leading technical evaluations and proof-of-concept engagements in competitive environments with long validation cycles typical of automotive industry - • Experience designing integration architectures for automotive platforms; understanding of Japanese automotive technical evaluation and supplier qualification processes - • Deep technical knowledge of automotive software stacks and platforms (Android Automotive, QNX, Linux), hardware platforms (Qualcomm, Nvidia, Renesas SOCs), genAI/LLM architectures, speech-to-speech pipelines, and edge computing deployment in automotive environments Preferred: - AWS certification, such as, AWS Solutions Architect, or a similar cloud certification, or Bachelor's degree - • Experience working with automotive Tier 1 suppliers (Denso, Aisin, Continental, Bosch, Harman, Alps Alpine) on system integration or platform development - • Deep understanding of competitive technical landscape in automotive voice AI and infotainment, particularly in Japanese market (Cerence, Google Automotive Services, Apple CarPlay architectures) - • Experience with Japanese OEM engineering organizations and technical decision-making processes at Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Subaru, or similar manufacturers - • Hands-on experience with voice AI/NLU/ASR systems, conversational AI frameworks, or large language model deployment in resource-constrained environments - • Knowledge of automotive middleware, AUTOSAR, vehicle APIs, and connected vehicle cloud architectures - • Understanding of Japanese automotive industry technical standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., driver distraction guidelines), and platform certification processes - • Existing technical relationships with engineering leaders at Japanese automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers - • Experience coordinating across global and regional engineering teams in matrix organizations Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
