Senior Tax Analyst, EMEA Foreign Reporting & Compliance

Amazon's EMEA Direct Tax Reporting & Compliance team is scaling fast — and we're building the next generation of tax operations with AI-driven automation - not spreadsheets. Join us in Munich as a Senior Basic qualifications: - Knowledge of strong understanding of tax compliance principles, regulations, and reporting requirements across jurisdictions - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field - Experience a direct tax role in a multinational and/or professional organization - Speak, write, and read fluently in German and English at C1 level or above Preferred: - Experience liaising with tax authorities including responding to audits and information requests - Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - Experience with written and verbal communication and presentation - Master's degree or equivalent professional qualification in tax (e.g., Steuerberater) or a related field - Experience with German corporate income tax (Körperschaftsteuer) and trade tax (Gewerbesteuer) compliance and reporting - Experience with German tax filing software (e.g., DATEV, DefTax) and e-Bilanz submission processes - Familiarity with income tax provisions under IFRS and/or Local GAAP (HGB), and exposure to US GAAP income tax reporting for SEC purposes - Strong computer skills including MS Office; experience with tax technology, automation tools, or AI-driven process improvement Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
