Senior Mechanical Engineer

Amazon is seeking exceptional talent to help develop the next generation of advanced robotics systems that will transform automation at Amazon's scale. We're building revolutionary robotic systems that Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent - 10+ years of professional experience designing and constructing mechanical systems for large-scale manufacturing and industrial applications. - Professional design experience across a broad range of project types, including industrial cooling tower systems, chiller plants, boiler plants, office environments, advanced manufacturing facilities, and industrial applications. - Deep knowledge of mechanical systems including, but not limited to: Dehumidification Units, Air Scrubbers, Dust Collectors, Heat Exchangers (shell/tube, plate/frame, brazed fin), Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Compressors, process gas/fluid systems, Air Handling Units, Terminal Units, Fans/Blowers, Control Valves and Instrumentation, Hazardous Exhaust Systems, and Heat Recovery Systems. - Working knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including ICC codes (Building, Mechanical, Plumbing, Energy Conservation, Fuel Gas, Fire), ASHRAE guidelines, SMACNA specifications, NFPA standards, and relevant ASME and ANSI codes. - Proficiency with Revit, Revizto, and Navisworks. Preferred: - Experience delivering mechanical designs through all milestone review stages for large capital construction projects. - Experience collaborating with external EPC firms across bid and project execution phases. - Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior engineers. - Experience producing quantity take-offs and cost estimates under tight deadlines. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
