Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Assembly

Amazon is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to help concept, design, and scale assembly operations. This is a hands-on individual contributor role at a new prototyping facility — you'll be designing Basic qualifications: - Experience in vendor management, or experience in facilities management - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline. - 7+ years of direct manufacturing engineering experience in high-volume assembly environments for complex electromechanical products. - Experience supporting commissioning, startup, and ramp-up of integrated assembly operations. - Strong knowledge of assembly methods including mechanical joining, fastening, adhesive bonding, press-fits, human-assisted automation, and robotic assembly. - Track record of driving down manufacturing costs while maintaining or improving product quality. - Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt preferred). - Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
