Senior HW Development Engineer, Leo Hardware Development

Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites that will deliver low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around Basic qualifications: - Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures - BS degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering, or equivalent experience - 7+ years of industrial experience especially board level analog/digital design - 3+ years of experience in high-speed digital design, multi-gigabit SERDES, signal and power integrity - 3+ years of experience in using schematic - 2+ years of experience using lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multi-meters - Experience with Mentor Graphics or Cadence layout tools Preferred: - Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent - Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production - Experience with the project management of technical projects - Masters of Science or PhD in electrical engineering or computer engineering - Familiarity with analog electronic fundamentals (transistor circuits, op-amps, filters, etc) - Experience in design, implementation, bring up and debugging of proof of concept HW and prototypes - Familiarity with power supply design - Proficiency in developing programs for instrument control - Previous work experience in a programming language Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
