Senior Economist, Amazon Stores Economics and Science (SEAS)

Stores Economics and Science (SEAS) is an interdisciplinary team in Amazon's Stores organization with a peak-jumping mission: we apply expertise in science and engineering to move from local to global Basic qualifications: - PhD in economics or equivalent - Experience in econometrics (e.g., program evaluation, forecasting, time series, panel data, or high dimensional problems), economic theory, and quantitative methods - Experience working with software developers and product managers - Experience in building statistical models using R, Python, STATA, or a related software Preferred: - Experience in developing and executing an analytic vision to solve business-relevant problems - Experience in industry, consulting, government or academic research - Experience with machine learning models Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
