Senior Design Engineer, North America AMZL Design Engineering

The Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Team is responsible for the acquisition, design, construction, and management of all facilities Basic qualifications: - 6+ years of directly managing and being responsible for multiple large projects experience - 6+ years of leading cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and field execution through launch readiness and go-live phases experience - Bachelor's degree - Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment - 6+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, design engineer or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience Preferred: - Master's degree or above in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or Business Administration, or Master's degree or above in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) - Experience working as Design Engineer or Senior Design Engineer for physical infrastructure designs - Knowledge of delivering successful Fulfillment, Distribution, Warehouse, or Delivery station designs - Experience in design engineering and drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Visio, Solidworks, etc. - Process Engineering skills and Project Management skills - Experience to build working relationships with business partners and key stakeholders, and the ability to work under pressure in a cross functional organization - Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level - Experience to work in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
