Robotics Systems Engineer I, Tech Deployment

Join Amazon's Robotics Delivery & Packaging Innovations (RDPI) Technology Deployment team within Amazon Robotics (AR) organization to deploy innovative industrial robotics across North America's fulfillment Basic qualifications: - 1+ years of Linux systems administration and/or development experience - 1+ years of work in at least two of these languages: Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby or Bash/Shell experience - Knowledge of networking fundamentals - Experience working in a 24/7 production environment - 1+ years of experience with technical drawings and/or reading CAD models (mechanical and electrical) - 1+ years of experience working on mechanical, electrical, IT networked, or software systems - Understanding of data collection, reporting processes, and ability to make data-driven decisions - Ability to troubleshoot robotics systems to resolve escalations including quality hand-off, live order testing, site acceptance testing, operational readiness testing, monitoring robotics system performance, etc. - Ability to read and develop technical documentation and process instructions - Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment - Willingness to work primarily in a construction or warehouse environment in a field-based role and travel extensively across the US and potentially internationally - Must be proficient in standard office software tools and processes - Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related STEM field Preferred: - 2+ years of site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration experience - 1+ years of building scripts, tooling, and automation for large-scale computing environments experience - Experience with infrastructure as code, ops automation, and configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible - Experience in site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration - Experience in networking and troubleshooting - Experience building scripts, tooling, and automation for large-scale computing environments Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
