Regional Environmental Engineer, AWS Data Centers

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS)AIS owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS Basic qualifications: - Experience in a fast paced, dynamic organization - Experience in environmental compliance and permitting, waste management, contractual, regulatory, and liability assessments, environmental permit evaluations and applications, EIAs and water discharge requirements - Bachelor's degree in environmental science, chemical or environmental engineering, or related field with 7+ years serving as an environmental technical resource, compliance specialist, or program manager. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with experience in environmental reporting, documentation, environmental investigations and developing corrective actions - Ability to work under pressure, handle regulatory deadlines, with strong organizational and time management skills. - Strong communication skills (English) with the ability to collaborate with various departments, external stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies Preferred: - Experience in a data center or other critical environment, or experience in facilities management - Master's degree or equivalent in environmental field - Knowledge of environmental management systems (ISO 14001) - Knowledge of waste management and circular economy principles - Experience with environmental auditing and compliance verification - Understanding of climate change regulations and GHG reporting Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
