Practise the Real-Time Embedded Firmware Engineer at Amazon interview free →Amazon Web Services is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer, Real-Time to develop deterministic real-time firmware for SST power-conversion control, PWM generation, diagnostics and protection-related Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related experience/ field. - Experience with real-time firmware in power electronics or comparable high-performance systems. - Experience and/or demonstrated understanding of PWM, DSP/FPGA interfaces and deterministic timing. - Experience documenting design decisions, assumptions, trade-offs, risks and technical specifications. - Experience using engineering analysis and measured evidence to drive decisions. Preferred: - Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering. - Experience in real-time embedded firmware (C/C++, RTOS/bare-metal) for power-electronics or safety-relevant control. - Demonstrated understanding of PWM, DSP/FPGA interfaces and deterministic timing. - Experience with bare-metal and/or FreeRTOS. - Experience with Git and disciplined software development practices. - Demonstrated operating effectively in a greenfield environment where standards and reference designs may require interpretation and adaptation.
