Quantum Research Engineer, Quantum Computing

The Amazon Center for Quantum Computing (CQC) team is looking for a passionate, talented, and inventive Research Engineer specializing in hardware design for cryogenic environments. The ideal candidate Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or above in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent - Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 5+ years relevant experience, or PhD with 2+ years relevant experience. - Experience with cryogenic mechanical design and product development lifecycle - Knowledge with design for manufacturing - Expertise with Finite Element Analysis (Thermal, Mechanical, EM) and 3D CAD (SolidWorks) Preferred: - PhD in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or related field - Experience with quantum hardware development and quantum processor packaging - Knowledge of RF/Microwave principles - Experience with PCB design and manufacturing Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
