Propulsion Functional Technician, Amazon Leo

Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Basic qualifications: - Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach - High school diploma or equivalent - 2+ years relevant aerospace/automotive manufacturing test experience or equivalent industry experience - 2+ years of hands-on work experience with electro-mechanical assemblies, final integration and/or harness integration experience - 2+ year’s experience in a fast-paced production environment with flight hardware - 2+ years of hands-on experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices (i.e., automated and manual torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi-meters, etc.) - Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and working from engineering documentation and/or drawings - Ability to work effectively in a team environment Preferred: - Aircraft & Powerplant certification/license, automotive certifications, or other technical certifications/Associate's degree - Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements - Experience working with MES software packages (SAP, SFC transactions, traceability) - Experience with root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action processes - Experience contributing to or owning SOP development and process documentation - Experience with 6S, Kaizen, or continuous improvement methodologies - Experience with PCBA inspection/rework and troubleshooting Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The starting pay for this position is listed below, including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
