PNT Estimation and Algorithms Engineer, Flight Dynamics Research

As a member of a growing PNT team within Amazon Leo, the PNT Estimation and Algorithms Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing and monitoring high-precision estimation architectures Basic qualifications: - Experience investigating the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to business problems and products - Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment - Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, and 4+ years of research experience in academia, industry, or government - Experience analyzing both experimental and observational data sets - Experience with data analysis tools such as Matlab or Python - Proven experience developing and tuning estimation algorithms (Kalman filtering, batch least-squares, or factor graph optimization) for navigation or metrology applications - Experience with orbit determination, sensor fusion, or state estimation for dynamic systems Preferred: - PhD in a relevant field - Experience with GNSS-based orbit determination or precise point positioning (PPP) - Understanding of time scale algorithms, clock modeling (Allan deviation), and their integration into navigation filters - Experience with inter-satellite link (ISL) ranging, optical navigation, or crosslink-based OD - Familiarity with tools such as Orekit, GMAT, or comparable astrodynamics/estimation libraries Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
