Optical Network Development Engineer, Core Networking

If you like to work with new technologies and optimizing existing technology have experience participating in network/systems support for a large-scale enterprise or service provider environment, we would Basic qualifications: - 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience - 4+ years of experience with optical planning and modeling tools. - 4+ years of experience with optical network design and troubleshooting. - 1+ years of professional development experience with Python or a similar tool for network automation scripting. Preferred: - Experience in Unix, or experience scripting in one or more language (e.g. Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby) - 4+ years of network engineering and deployments for large-scale networks in a corporate environment, including hands-on physical infrastructure installations, hardware integration, racking, and cabling experience - Experience with IP networking fundamentals and TCP/IP, UDP, DNS & DHCP - Expert network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills. - Knowledge of L2 and L3 routing. - A relevant degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience in a large – scale network environment.
