Operations Engineer II, AWS Managed Services (AMS)

As part of the AWS Applied AI Solutions organization, we have a vision to provide business applications, leveraging Amazon’s unique experience and expertise, that are used by millions of companies worldwide Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - 4+ years of network and operating system support experience - 4+ years of virtualization, orchestration and cloud computing (eg. Hypervisors, VMware, Xen) experience Preferred: - Experience with the AWS platform, web services, software development, or related technologie - Experience with service-oriented architecture and web services - Experience with Active Directory, or experience in deploying identity and access management systems and experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications - Experience with aspect(s) of security: network, application, security protocols, cryptography, etc. - Experience with Configuration Management Software. - Scripting and / or programming experience with at least one scripting language (PowerShell, Ruby, Python, Bash). - Experience in a DevOps team, supporting CI/CD workloads. - Experience configuring, managing or troubleshooting systems of scale (cloud, virtualization, distributed networks, co-location). - Experience in Networking (e.g. Deploying and troubleshooting LAN, VPN, Firewalls, TCP/IP etc.). Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
