Network Development Engineer , OpsTech Networking Edge

Do you have experience in automating network administration using Python or other programming languages? if yes, please keep reading...The OpsTech Networking Edge team builds next-generation edge network Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field or equivalent - Three or more years of experience designing and operating large-scale production networks - Three or more years of experience with major routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF - Three or more years of experience with routing and switching hardware from major vendors including Cisco and Juniper - Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and operate network solutions that are secure, stable, testable, and maintainable - Strong documentation skills with proven methodology for creating clear technical documentation - Experience building or enhancing tools, developing best practices, refining operational procedures, and thinking proactively with innovation - Ability to work effectively on diverse teams with diverse coworkers Preferred: - Experience with SDWAN technologies, particularly Cisco SDWAN - Experience with AWS networking services including Transit Gateway, CloudWAN, Direct Connect, and AWS Network Firewalls - Experience with AI-powered tools for network automation, diagnostics, and operational efficiency, including agentic AWS AI tools such as Kiro - Experience in automating network administration using Python or other programming languages - Development and delivery of large-scale designs in data center or edge networks - Experience with IPv6 design and implementations - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate across organizations - Proficiency in wide area networking, including SDWAN, MPLS, and Internet connectivity - Experience with network automation and orchestration tools • Understanding of information security principles for network infrastructure - Experience with capacity planning and bandwidth forecasting for large-scale networks Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
