Network Development Engineer II - AWS Direct Connect, DX Operations

We support all AWS data centers Basic qualifications: - 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience - 3+ years of work in large-scale networking environments experience - Experience with TCP/ICP networking fundamentals and application of IP protocols such as: DNS, DHCP, NTP, SMTP, and SNMP - 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience - 3+ years of work in at least two of these languages: Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby or Bash/Shell experience - 4+ years of networking (such as DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP) experience Preferred: - Experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS and Junos - Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience in networking administration and troubleshooting and experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems - Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure - Experience in mentoring, leading, or managing more junior engineers - Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities - Physical requirements - The ability to sit in front of a computer for a scheduled 8-hour shift while maintaining a high level of alertness and attention to detail. - Flexibility to support follow-the-sun shifts and on-calls (including weekends/Public holidays). Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
