Mechanical Engineering Hardware Development Manager, Mobile Robotics

Answer yes to any of these and you’ll fit right Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent - 8+ years of new hardware products development experience - 3+ years of management experience - Familiar with industry standard CAD design tools, industry trends, and design for manufacturability. - Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a design team - Ability to manage a process driven development mentality while also balancing time to market - Commitment to rigorous testing & validation practices - Strong organizational and planning skills - Desire to work in a fast-paced environment - Excellent written (white papers) and oral communication skills Preferred: - Master's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent - Experience in robotic development and electromechanical system integration - Experience with the project management of technical projects - Knowledge of SolidWorks Simulation or ANSYS Finite Element Analysis tools - Proficiency documenting designs in accordance with ANSI Y-14.5 - Proven track record of developing products for large volume production - Experience with rapid prototyping methods - Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software and ECOs - Experience managing challenging assignments under accelerated timelines Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
