Manufacturing Tooling & Test Equipment Design Engineer

From individual households to Basic qualifications: - Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures - Experience in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience. - Experience designing mechanical fixtures, manufacturing tooling, automated equipment, or test setups for engineering development or production environments. - Proficiency in 3D CAD Siemens NX or similar including engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis. - Hands-on experience with mechanical fabrication, machining, assembly, prototyping, and equipment troubleshooting. - Knowledge of manufacturing processes, mechanical mechanisms, materials selection, and design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA/DFT). - Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to develop and deploy manufacturing or test equipment. - Experience with mechanical testing such as Vibe, Shock, PPR, Nail Pen etc Preferred: - Proficiency in Siemens NX - Experience designing manufacturing and test tooling for PCBAs, electronic assemblies, battery packs, or other complex electromechanical products. - Experience transitioning prototype tooling into production equipment, including equipment qualification, process capability, and production ramp-up. - Familiarity with automated assembly systems, robotics, pneumatic actuators, sensors, motion control, and electrical or mechanical equipment integration. - Experience with precision fixtures, electrical test interfaces, connector mating, environmental testing, and high-reliability manufacturing. - Understanding of measurement system analysis (MSA), equipment repeatability, tolerance management, and statistical process control (SPC). - Experience developing equipment with appropriate safety features, ESD protection, ergonomics, serviceability, and operator-focused design. - Experience in aerospace, automotive, battery manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, or other high-reliability production environments. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
