Manager, Manufacturing Engineering - PCBA, Amazon Leo

Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and Basic qualifications: - 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams working across interdisciplinary groups to execute product design from concept to production - 5+ years of experience in PCBA/PCB production/processes and manufacturing engineering - Experience driving Design for Excellence (DFM, DFA, DFT) upstream with Design Engineering - Working knowledge of board assembly processes and equipment: stencil, paste print, SPI, pick & place, SMT reflow, AOI, 5DX, selective solder, flying probe, and wash - Experience managing relationships with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and 3rd party test and failure analysis partners - Proven ability to build, develop, and lead engineering teams in root causing technical product manufacturability and process problems - Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with a track record of fostering team culture around innovation, manufacturability, quality, and reliability Preferred: - 7+ years of engineering team management experience - 10+ years of experience in PCBA/PCB supply chain, manufacturing, or engineering - Experience with Design and Process Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (DFMEA/PFMEA) - Experience with IPC-A-610H Class 3, IPC J-STD-001H compliance - Experience in polymeric application, including conformal coating, staking, and underfill - Experience in solder alloys including leaded, lead free, and next gen low temp alloys - Experience with flying probe test systems and DFT - Experience directing hands-on experimental design and execution (statistical analysis and DOE) Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
