Manager, DPO Technical Operations, Device Postponement Operations (DPO)

The Manager, Technical Operations owns the performance and delivery of Amazon's in-region postponement factory operations. You will lead a team of Senior Operations Program Managers and Senior Site Technical Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent - Experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments - Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis, or experience troubleshooting problems and offering solutions to streamline complex challenges - Knowledge of QA methodology and tools - 2+ years of programmable logic controls (PLC) programs experience - Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA - Experience with program management spanning planning, execution and project delivery - Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership while working cross functionally across several teams - Experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions, or experience communicating results to senior leadership - 10+ years in manufacturing operations with at least 3 years managing teams of technical individual contributors; - Data analysis skills using tools such as Matlab, JMP, or Minitab; Preferred: - Master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent, or MS degree - Experience in program management, tech program management, or related fields - 4+ years of maintenance or engineering experience, or experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems and high-speed manufacturing - Six Sigma Green Belt, or 1+ years of team management, budget responsibilities, supplier management, problem solving, and client/ customer relations experience - Experience in facilities management - Experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer, or experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis - Experience designing or implementing integrated automation solutions such as material handling systems, high-speed packaging lines, or manufacturing lines - Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or experience in project, program or product management with focus on technical education programs - Experience building, managing and coaching a team in a high-growth environment Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
