Machine Learning Data Linguist, Alexa AI

Amazon is seeking a Machine Learning Data Linguist to join our Alexa AI team. This role focuses on language data, primarily in the areas of text annotation and general data analysis deliverables.The ML Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Experience in natural language data labeling, data annotation, linguistic annotation or other forms of data markup, as well as leading a team of peers - Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis, formulae, and data visualization Preferred: - Experience in computational linguistics, language data processing, semantics, or syntax - Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Linguistics, or a related field - Experience solving basic problems by writing code or scripts with some assistance - Experience working with large sets of data and deriving practical insights - Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience in software development - Knowledge of UNIX environment and shell scripting - Interest in pragmatics and conversational design Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
