Loads and Dynamics Engineer, Amazon Leo

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to Basic qualifications: - 3+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience - 3+ years of experience in dynamic analysis and testing (modal, random vibration, shock, and/or acoustics) - 3+ years experience with finite element analysis NASTRAN (or equivalent) Preferred: - 3+ years of experience with model preparation delivery and interpretation of results for coupled load analysis, including experience with component modal synthesis reduction techniques, such as Craig-Bampton - 3+ years of experience in on orbit disturbance modeling and multi-body dynamics - 3+ years of experience with modal testing and correlation of hardware - Masters in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field - Demonstrated experience in several of the following areas: - Experience with full vehicle qualification for flight - Experience testing components and vehicles - Dynamic analysis with MSC ADAMS or Wave6 - Programming skills in Matlab/Python - Knowledge of FEMAP, IMAT and Matlab Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
