Lead Quality CMM Programmer, Amazon Leo - Quality Receiving

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the Basic qualifications: - 6+ years CMM programming experience (PC-DMIS specifically) - Extensive experience performing FAI per AS9102 - Expert in reading/interpreting blueprints with GD&T per ASME Y14.5M - Experience with receiving inspection of aerospace components - Knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 quality management systems - Experience with tight-tolerance, high-value aerospace components - Fluent in precision hand tools, gages, optical comparators, and surface plate work - Experience documenting and tracking discrepancy/non-conformance reports - Calibration management experience - Demonstrated experience programming multiple Hexagon metrology platforms including bridge/gantry CMMs, ROMER Absolute Arm portable CMMs, and OPTIV M multisensor CMMs (Vision+, Scan+, or DualScan+ variants) - Experience developing multisensor inspection programs that combine vision, tactile, and/or laser measurement within a single measurement routine - Proficiency with additional metrology software platforms such as PolyWorks Inspector and/or ZEISS CALYPSO - Experience developing and maintaining CMM program libraries, revision control processes, and standardized inspection documentation across multiple metrology platforms - Experience leading, mentoring, and training CMM programmers and inspection personnel on advanced programming techniques, multisensor workflows, and best practices Preferred: - Deep experience within the Hexagon metrology ecosystem — PC-DMIS across bridge CMMs, ROMER arms, OPTIV M multisensor systems (Vision+, Scan+, or DualScan+ variants), and Hexagon Metrology Asset Manager - Experience programming OPTIV M multisensor routines that leverage vision, touch-trigger, scanning, and/or laser sensors for complex part inspection in a single measurement run - Experience with PC-DMIS automation routines, custom scripting, or integration with ERP/MES systems for inspection data flow - Experience with statistical process control (SPC) tools and using CMM data to build process capability studies and control charts - PPAP documentation and submission experience, including measurement correlation studies across multiple CMM platforms - Experience developing in-process inspection programs and integrating metrology into production workflows - Knowledge of NADCAP special processes (heat treat, plating, coating, EDM, grinding) and their impact on dimensional inspection requirements - Experience in satellite/space hardware manufacturing or other high-reliability aerospace programs - Experience with 3D scanning, CT scanning, or non-contact measurement technologies integrated with PC-DMIS - IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 knowledge (for PCBA receiving inspection) - Experience with calibration program management and measurement system analysis (MSA/Gage R&R) - Experience driving Lean process improvements within a metrology or CMM programming function - Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for traceability and inspection record management Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
