Lab Engineer II, Global Materials Science

In this hands-on role, you'll conduct materials testing and characterization Basic qualifications: - 2+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience - Bachelors Degree or higher in Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Paper Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Preferred: - Master's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, paper science engineering or related technical discipline - 2+ years of laboratory experience in materials testing, quality control, or research environment - Experience with packaging materials or other forest products testing (paper, adhesives, coatings, or polymers) following standard test methods (TAPPI, ASTM, ISO, ISTA, etc.) - Hands-on experience with testing equipment such as tensile testers, burst testers, thermal analysis equipment, SEM, DMA, etc. and experience with data analysis tools and statistical methods Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
