Lab Engineer, Battery, Amazon Leo

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to Basic qualifications: - 5+ years of hardware development, test lab, space/aerospace maintenance or hands-on engineering environment experience - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field - Hands-on experience designing, building, and troubleshooting electrical or electro-mechanical test setups. - Experience with electrical laboratory equipment including power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, DMMs, DAQs, or similar instrumentation. - Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment specifications, and engineering documentation. - Experience troubleshooting complex hardware, instrumentation, or automated test systems. - Experience developing technical procedures and documenting engineering test setups. - Understanding of electrical safety, battery safety, ESD controls, grounding, interlocks, emergency stops, and laboratory safety systems. Preferred: - Experience testing lithium-ion batteries, battery packs, battery management systems, or high-power electrical systems. - Experience with PCBA functional testing and electrical troubleshooting. - Experience with battery cyclers and battery test systems. - Experience with environmental chambers, thermal cycling, thermal vacuum, vibration, or other environmental test equipment. - Experience with CAN, I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, or other hardware communication interfaces. - Experience with Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, or similar tools for equipment control, automation, or data acquisition. - Experience working in aerospace, automotive, energy storage, semiconductor, or other high-reliability hardware environments. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
