Kitting Specialist, Machining , Amazon Leo Hardware Supply Chain

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the Basic qualifications: - Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement principles & techniques - Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach - 2+ years of experience in a CNC machine shop, tool crib, or manufacturing kitting environment - Working knowledge of cutting tools, tool holders, workholding fixtures, and CNC machining processes - Hands-on experience with ERP, CMMS, or inventory management systems - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and CAD/CAM setup sheets - Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks) Preferred: - Associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing Technology, Machining, or a related discipline - Experience operating precision tool presetters (e.g., Zoller, Haimer, Parlec) - Familiarity with RFID-based tooling management systems - Knowledge of CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks CAM) sufficient to interpret toolpath documentation - Background in aerospace, defense, or other high-precision manufacturing environments with tight tolerance requirements - Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Yellow or Green Belt) or equivalent continuous improvement methodology - Demonstrated track record of reducing machine downtime through proactive kitting and tooling management Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
