Engineering Operations Manager, Global Field Operations (GFO) (AMER/LATAM)

We are looking for a highly-driven and customer-oriented GFO Engineering Operations Manager who will oversee all tasks associated with installing and maintaining Outposts in customer premises and Non-traditional Basic qualifications: - 2+ years of management experience - 4+ years of general contractor and vendor management work (request for proposals, bidding, change orders, quality control, RFI/submittal tracking) associated with construction and project execution experience - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field - Knowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations including systems such as feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, chillers, pumps, air handling units, and CRAC units - Experience in management - Experience as a general contractor and in vendor management (request for proposals, bidding, change orders, quality control, RFI/submittal tracking) associated with construction and project execution - Experience hiring, developing, and managing high-performing technical teams Preferred: - Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA - Experience owning the operation of a mission-critical team or product - Experience with large-scale technical operations or large-scale compute farms - Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
