Energy Strategy Manager, AWS Infrastructure Energy Team

As an Energy Strategy Manager in AWS's APAC Energy team, you'll be at the Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent - 6+ years of solving problems with technology in the Energy & Utilities industries experience - Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of directly managing and being responsible for multiple large projects experience - Experience with budgeting, scheduling and cost/benefit analysis Preferred: - Experience in working directly with government officials and regulatory bodies - Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies - Experience in one of project management, planning, engineering, developing or constructing substations or other 66kV or greater energy infrastructure - High level technical understanding of MV & HV Transmission Line and substation, with familiarity of local grid code, grid connectivity procedures, grid application procedures and roles and responsibilities, standards of performance of Distribution/Transmission Utilities - Experience in successfully negotiating new tariff rates, power purchase agreements and/or energy infrastructure contracts in regulatory regimes. - Experience with grid technical compliance frameworks, performance standards and transmission network connection agreements - Ability to manage complex and/or multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills capable of building strategic working relationships with internal and external stakeholders - Ability to self-start and self-motivate in a dynamic environment with partial information and high levels of ambiguity which requires looking around corners to deliver results for the business Acknowledgement of country: In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
