Embedded Software Engineer III, Ring, Ring

Ring is growing in Poland and we are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our firmware team in Gdansk. You will shape the firmware that runs on IoT devices used by millions of customers Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent - Deep embedded development experience in C or C++ on resource constrained hardware. - Experience owning the design of embedded subsystems or products end to end, from architecture through production release. - Experience shipping embedded products at volume, and a clear view of what separates a working prototype from a product in millions of homes. - Experience with ARM CPUs, low level drivers, interrupt service routines, and debugging across the hardware and software boundary. - Experience mentoring engineers and raising the technical standard of a team. - Ability to communicate technical decisions and risks clearly to engineers and to non engineers, in writing. Preferred: - Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. - Experience leading bring up of new silicon or boards, working with vendors. - Commercial wireless protocols such as BLE or Wi-Fi. - Firmware for battery powered products, and power optimisation as a measured discipline. - Audio or video streaming on embedded platforms. - Embedded security, including secure boot, key storage and secure update. - Embedded Linux and FreeRTOS. - SPI, I2C and UART, plus JTAG and protocol analysers. - Experience defining test strategy: unit, regression and system testing on real hardware. - Building GenAI applications. The base salary listed corresponds to working on a full-time basis. For part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rated. Amazon reserves the right to offer a higher base salary, depending on the candidate's skills, competencies, and experience. Amazon's package may include a sign on payment. In addition, the candidate may be eligible to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA.
