Embedded Controls Engineer, Power Loops

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Controls Engineer, Power Loops to develop and validate advanced control algorithms for SST power-conversion loops, with emphasis on stability, dynamic response and high-power Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related experience/ field. - Experience with power-converter control and stability analysis and/or understanding of real-time implementation constraints. - Experience documenting design decisions, assumptions, trade-offs, risks and technical specifications. - Experience using engineering analysis and measured evidence to drive decisions. Preferred: - Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering. - 2+ years experience in power-converter control (modeling, discretization, tuning) with hardware validation. - Demonstrated strong control-theory background and knowledge. - Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and Control Toolbox. - Demonstrated ability to work closely with power-electronics and embedded teams. - Demonstrated operating effectively in a greenfield environment where standards and reference designs may require interpretation and adaptation.
